Music Programme for the Exhibition “Anya Zholud. Not the Horizon”

The AZ/ART Center for Contemporary Art, together with the Nikolai Karetnikov Foundation, launches a series of concert programmes accompanying the exhibition “Anya Zholud. Not the Horizon.”
Six musical evenings will become a sonic continuation of the exhibition, revealing the art of Anya Zholud.
The artist constructs her works according to the principle of “from object to sign,” thereby romantically “spiritualising” each object of her attention, celebrating the “beauty of the unsightly,” and transforming volume into space — into “a picture one can enter.” The music of contemporary composers presented in this programme similarly stands at the intersection of different creative approaches that resonate with Anya Zholud’s artistic explorations.
